Ampparra (Bennett) Vassell age 61 of Concord passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Emerson Hospital following prolonged battle with illnesses. She was surrounded by her loving and supportive family.
Born on May 23, 1961, Wilfred and Gwendolyn Bennett welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Ampparra. She was the eighth of ten children born to the Bennett’s family in the district of York Street, Saint Catherine, Jamaica. She was affectionately known as Cynth or Cyndi. She completed her high school education in Jamaica. Ampparra worked as a clerical assistant in the local hospital before fulfilling her dream of migrating to the United States. In the USA, she earned her credentials to be a Certified Nursing Assistant in healthcare, in which she passionately executed her duties.
Although she was introduced to the Truth by her late father in Jamaica, it was not until she migrated to the USA, she seriously committed to her studies with brothers and sisters at the Maynard congregation. On July 1, 2001, Ampparra symbolized her dedication to becoming a devout servant of Jehovah by water immersion.
Family and friends could easily identify Ampparra by her broad and captivating smile, which could be seen from a mile away. She will be remembered for her kind, caring and compassionate nature. She was characterized by her outspoken nature, love of justice and fearless defender of others including her loved ones. Ampparra’s confidence and outgoing personality perfectly complemented her passion for fashion and love for sports. She could always be counted on to give the latest update on NFL games and cricket matches. In addition to be a fashionista, Ampparra was hailed as an excellent cook.
Ampparra will be dearly missed by her two sons: Donnohue (Korie) and Kenric (Kenny), granddaughter: Kassia, siblings: Vincent, Carmelita, Uvannie, Uleta, Sharon and Bynard, other family members, friends and colleagues.
While we are saddened by the passing of dear Ampparra we are confident that if we too serve Jehovah faithfully to the end, we will joyfully welcome her back in paradise.
