Anna L. (Solano) Burlamachi

Anna L. (Solano) Burlamachi, age 91 of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Billerica and Somerville, MA, passed away on January 10, 2025, following a brief illness. She was the loving wife to the late Leonard L. Burlamachi, who died in 2015

Anna Leonilda Solano was born on January 8, 1934, the daughter of the late Filberto F. and Maria T. (Muscolino) Solano. Anna attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School. She later graduated from nursing school as a Licensed Registered Nurse.

Anna and Leonard married in Somerville on September 22, 1956, and remained there until they moved to Billerica. Anna was a devoted wife and mother; she worked for many years as a nurse for the Billerica Public Schools. They retired in 1989 and moved to Lakeland, Florida, where she continued to work until she retired in 1993.

Family was the center of her life. She was a gracious hostess and enjoyed numerous visits from family and friends. Anna also enjoyed flea-marketing, sewing, playing the piano, and cooking.

She is survived by her children, Judith Dodge and her husband William of Greenfield, NH, David Burlamachi of Tewksbury, Anna Davis and her husband Don of Lakeland, FL, Robert Burlamachi of Lakeland, FL and Richard Burlamachi and his wife Mary Ellen of Lowell, MA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, her brother Filberto Solano, Jr. of Miami, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Leonard Burlamachi, Jr., and sisters Josephine Santa Fe and Rose F. McMahan.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Anna for visiting hours on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 am at the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Road, Billerica, MA. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
