Anne T. (Mitchell) Kurker, age 72 of Falmouth, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 14, 2008.�Beloved wife of George K. Kurker.�Devoted mother of Steven K. Kurker and his wife Metua Tavai-Kurker of�Indianapolis, IN, Susan Kurker and her husband Edward Wholihan of Concord, MA,�and Paul K. Kurker and his wife Lynn O'Brien, of Reading, MA.�Cherished grandmother of Bryan, Kevin, and Michael Wholihan; Sam, Harry, and Lilly Kurker; and Terence Tokorangi.�Dear sister of Mary Elizabeth Splaine of Nantucket and the late Francis J. Mitchell, Jr.�Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Born in Malden on March 10, 1936, Anne was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Agnes G. (Kelly) Mitchell.�Raised and educated in Medford she attended and was graduated from Medford High School in 1954 and later attended and was graduated from the Mount Auburn Hospital School of Nursing.�Anne married in 1958 and she and George remained in Medford, where they raised their children together.�Anne was a school nurse in Medford for 17 years.�After living in Winchester for seven years, upon retirement, they moved to their Falmouth home.
During her leisure time Anne enjoyed reading, playing tennis, taking long walks with friends along the Falmouth coast, and enjoying quality time with her children and grandchildren.
