Arthur Hampson Birkett

Arthur Hampson Birkett age 60 of Somerville formerly of Needham passed away on Friday, March 27th at Massachusetts General Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in Needham on May 9, 1954 he was the son of the late Kenneth N. and Margaret (Reed) Birkett. Arthur graduated from Needham High School in 1972 and attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He was a musician, composer and teacher of piano and guitar in Wakefield.
Survivors include his sister Barbara Rowe and her husband Jeffrey of Fairfield, CT, his brothers Kenneth Birkett, Jr. and his wife Judy of Lititz, PA and Robert Birkett and his wife Joelle of Concord. Arthur is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
