Audrey J. Comeau, 82, went home to be with her beloved Lord on April 11, 2018 while being cared for by her daughters.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Audrey was a devoted Christian who assisted many through Grief Share and Steven's Ministries at Grace Chapel and volunteering at Emerson Hospital. She most loved being with her family and attending all their sporting events or activities. She also was an avid knitter and gardener.
Audrey was the youngest of three daughters by Duncan and Jessie Barker and is survived by her middle sister Doris Magovern. She is predeceased by her oldest sister Mable Oman.
After graduating from Lexington High School, Audrey went on to marry life-long Concord resident Dean Comeau on 07 April 1956 who predeceased her in 1986. Audrey is survived their four daughters Diane Magee and husband, William, of Poughquag, NY; Sally and husband, David, of Hopewell Junction, NY; Heidi Bruening and husband, Gary, of Underhill, VT and Kimberly Comeau and husband, Mark Andersen, of Stow, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessie Solliceto, Andrew Yackel, Alexandra Sampyo, Mathew Yackel, Kimberly Ruppert, Cameron Andersen, Nolan Andersen and Casey Andersen as well as her great grandchild Lucas Solliceto.
Audrey later married her loving husband George Vanderpool who predeceased her in 2015.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, 27 April at the Concord Funeral Home from 10:30 to noon, At the conclusion of the visiting hours, a memorial service will follow for family members.
