Barbara Gilson

Barbara Gilson age 85 of Peabody formerly of Lexington passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Brooksby Village in Peabody.

Born in Lexington on February 8, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Royal W. and Ruth (Cadell) Gilson.

Ms. Gilson graduated from Mt. Holyoke College and worked the Boston Public Library. She also attended secretarial school and was the Executive Secretary at the Waltham Hospital until her retirement in 1990.

Ms. Gilson was a member of the Greater Boston Mount Holyoke Club serving as President. She was also a member of the Old Concord Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and New England Women.

She is survived by her brother George W. Gilson of Chloride, Arizona.
