Barbara J. Windhol

Barbara J. Windhol, age 91 and life long resident of Concord passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Concord Heath Care Center.

Born in Concord on March 2, 1918 she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Farmen) Windhol of Norway, one of nine children.

Raised and educated in Concord, Ms. Windhol graduated from Concord High School and later worked in nursing before retiring due to disability. She loved gardening, and living in her parents home and former farm. Her love of Concord, nature, and animals were the sources of great strength and perseverance which helped her battle colon cancer.

During the final years of her life, the staff at Concord Health Care Center helped her continue her battle, and she did her best to carry on her fight as long as she could.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
