Bibe Schnitzer

Bibe (Esther Lillian) Schnitzer age 99 of Concord, formerly of Yarmouth and Longmeadow, November 17.  Predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Herbert S. Schnitzer, her parents, and her brother, Martin Weingold. Survived by her children, Jay of Boston, Michael of Concord, Marjorie of Hingham, Paula Anzer of Concord, Debora of Cambridge, and her brother, Harold Weingold.  Also survived by daughters-in-law Sara Roy and Sally Schnitzer and sons-in-law Thomas Anzer and Robert Slate, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. 

A proud graduate of Douglas College, she attended the University of Chicago where she studied with Carl Rogers. She received her master’s degree in education from the University of Connecticut, and taught freshman English for many years at Longmeadow High School. She found great joy in her family and friends. She believed in celebrating life - cherishing birthdays, graduations, weddings, and holidays as well as each conversation, visit, photo, and phone call.  

The family is grateful to the staff at Rivercrest in Concord where she received such excellent care in the final years of her life.

Family graveside service will be private.
