Carol Ann Schiffer

Carol Ann (Frech) Schiffer age 77 of Acton formerly of Concord and Dennis passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Concord Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Schiffer.

Born in Boston on June 17, 1934 she was the only child of Frederick G. and Jesse (Moreshead) Frech. Raised and educated in Newton, she graduated from Newton high school 1952.

Mrs. Schiffer married and settled in Concord where she was a devoted mother and faithful member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. She also owned her own real estate business for years in Dennis before her retirement. She loved to garden, paint, talk, travel and sing.

She is survived by her children Lauren Hutton of Acton, Karin Evans of Boxborough, Mark Schiffer of Lancaster, Kristen Wells of Stowe and Matthew Schiffer of Cotuit. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher, Sarah, Joseph Tyler, Hilary, Kyle, Erika, Joanne, John, Carolyn, Rachael, Nathaniel, Benjamin and William, and 1 great-grandchild, Isaiah.
