Carol Telsey, 75, of Concord,MA, passed away at home November 13,2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Carol loved traditional sailboats and the sea, and was a devotee of cruising to new and adventurous places. She was a quilter, knitter, teacher, avid reader, seeker of new experiences, friend and lover. Carol was filled with insatiable curiosity and was always ready with thoughtful, insightful help and suggestions to all. Throughout her life, Carol was owned and loved by many cats and dogs.
Carol leaves her husband of 39 years, Steven; three daughters Catherine Pickett, Elisabeth Cade, and Susannah Telsey; sister Nancy
Lee Ennis; four grandsons Andrew, Peter, and William Strauss and Kalin Gerrish; sisters-in-law Annie Norton and Nadia Telsey.
Comments from her friends: kind, funny, helpful — generous— pertinent and compassionate — so knowledgeable and optimistic — valuable advice and reassurance — wonderful and gracious — more than her fair share of intelligence and persistence and level— headed ability — wonderful advisor and even a role model — her knowledge and wisdom, her forthrightness and genuine caring, and, ah yes, her humor — always learned something from her — thoughtful — teacher, confidant, but mostly my friend for over 37 years
A Celebration of her life was held Saturday, December 6, 10:00 am-12:00 pm in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord.
Carol asked that people attending the celebration wear brightly- colored clothes.
