Cynthia Lynn Torgersen

October 21, 1961 — December 14, 2020

On Monday, December 14, 2020, Cynthia Lynn Torgersen, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at the age of 59 in her home in Westford, Massachusetts.

Cindy was born on October 21, 1961 in Mount Kisco, New York to William Jr. and Jane (Connelly) Lynn. She graduated from St. Lawrence in 1983 and went on to work at Tufts Health Plan for nearly 30 years. On May 16, 1992, she married Douglas Bruce Torgersen in a beautiful ceremony in Belmont, Massachusetts. Together they raised two children, Kayla Lynn and Dustin James in Westford, Massachusetts.

Cindy loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed traveling with them – whether it be on a daily walk down the bike path, at the Cranberry Bog, on one of the many trails in Concord, Massachusetts, or on an adventure around the world. She will always be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her ability to finish a crossword puzzle in record time, her unwavering work ethic, but most of all, her devotion to her family. She will be so deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Jane (Connelly) Lynn. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Doug Torgersen; her two children, Kayla and Dustin Torgersen; her father, William Lynn Jr.; and her five siblings, Bill, Dave, Greg, Steve, and Susie Riley and their spouses. She is also survived by her husband's parents, Don and Jan Torgersen; and her husband's five siblings, Don, Dean, Dan, Deanna Grinnell, and Denise Kissinger, and their spouses, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Cindy for a period of visitation on Sunday, December 20th from 2 to 4 pm at the Concord Funeral Home, located at 74 Belknap Street., Concord, Massachusetts. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral mass will be limited to family-only. However, the funeral mass will be available to the public through a live-stream on Monday, December 21st at 10:30 am.
