David S. Cullington

David S. Cullington, age 75 of Concord and Silver Lake Village, Madison, NH passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Emerson Hospital. He was the husband of Sylvia (Oakes) Cullington.

Born in Medford on March 31, 1935 he was the son of the late H. Stanley and Marian (Webster) Cullington.

Raised and educated in Lexington, Mr. Cullington graduated from Lexington High School and attended and graduated from Northeastern University. In 1958 he enlisted in the United States Marines and served in the White House Security Service for both Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy. His other responsibilities included the security for Camp David and counter intelligence.

Mr. Cullington then worked for John Hancock Financial Services as Vice President and Corporate Auditor for 33 years retiring in 1995.

A long time member of Nashawtuc County Club he was a member of the Board of Governor’s and Nashawtuc Charities. He was also a volunteer with Concord’s Open Table also enjoyed gardening and spending time at Silver Lake.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Douglas D. Cullington and his wife Beth of Framingham, Mark S. Cullington and his wife Becky Wandell of Portland, Oregon and Leslie Gorman and her husband John of Framingham. His cherished grandchildren, Georgia and Dalton Cullington and Danielle, Emily and Caroline Gorman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Dugan. He was also the brother of the late George Webster Cullington.
