Donald Thorpe Crowell

Donald T. Crowell age 73 of Holliston formerly of Chelmsford and Concord passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Metro West Medical Center in Framingham. He was the husband of Betty J. (Parker) Crowell.

Born in Concord on February 3, 1935 he was the son of the late Douglas T. and Lila (Steele) Crowell.

Raised and educated in Concord, Mr. Crowell attended Lowell Technical College and graduated with a degree in Plastics Engineering

Don and Betty married in 1955 and they lived in several locations including: Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Maryland. He worked as a Safety Engineer. Prior to retiring in 2000 he worked at the Army Research Laboratory, Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.

During his spare time he enjoyed reading, Military History, watching sports and volunteering at the local Senior Center as well as traveling.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Donna Arpin and her husband Donald of Nashua, Thomas Crowell and his wife Debra of Mansfield. A brother Robert M. Crowell of Absecon, NJ, two grandchildren, Matthew and Danielle Arpin as well as several nieces and nephews.
