Dorothy C. Daniell

Dorothy C. Daniell, age 95, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Rivercrest Long-Term Care facility in Concord. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Warren F. Daniell, Jr., and their daughter, Beth Daniell.

Dorothy Copeland was born in Stamford, CT, on September 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Russell N. and Alice (Danver) Copeland.

After graduating from Mt. Holyoke College in 1950 and marrying Warren, they settled in Concord.  Dorothy received a master’s degree from Tufts University and remained there for ten years as a Teaching Assistant in the Anthropology Department.  She also served as a substitute teacher at Concord-Carlisle High School.

One of her passions was learning more about the world. She had many life-long friendships with families she often visited in England and Holland, and with Warren, she enjoyed many trips to other European countries, China, and Africa. Wanting to go as far as possible for their 50^th wedding anniversary, she chose a pleasant trip to Tasmania.

Dorothy and Warren moved to Newbury Court in 2018; in 2023, Dorothy suffered a stroke and remained in Rivercrest, where she received many enjoyable visits from family and friends.

Burial at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery will be private.
