Eleanor Jean (Fee) McKnight

Eleanor Jean (Fee) McKnight age 85 of Lincoln passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 she was the wife of the late Tom McKnight.

Jean was born in Boston on January 10, 1933 a daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie (Ferguson) Fee. Raised and educated in Boston she graduated from the Girls High School in Boston. Jean and David married on March 19, 1955 in the Newton Presbyterian Church and lived in Waltham before settling in Lincoln.

Jean was a devoted wife and mother and worked for many years in the family business McKnight's Nursery and later at Stonegate Gardens. She was a long time member at the Weston United Methodist Church and was active in many church programs and sang in the choir. Jean enjoyed bowling, roller skating, playing piano, traveling and especially spending time with her loving and devoted family.

She is survived by her children, Richard McKnight of Lincoln, Deborah Stacey and James Hawkins of New Ipswich, NH, Donna McKnight-Iwany and husband Robert of Bedford, Diane Olsen and husband Edward of Waltham and David Blake McKnight Jr. of Maynard. Beloved grandmother of Mark and Jessica Stacey, Sarah and Christopher Iwany. Jean also leaves 9 great-grandchildren, her sister Ruth Close and husband Rodgers of Beverly, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Fee and sister Dorothy Farrell.

Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Jean on Sunday, Jan.13th from 2:00-5:00 pm in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord. Her funeral will be Monday, Jan 14th at 10:00 am in the Weston United Methodist Church, 377 North Ave., Weston. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.
