Elizabeth W. Pounders

Elizabeth White "Bette" Pounders died in Concord, MA, on May 19, 2025. She was 85 years old and had lived most of her adult life in MA. 

She was born in Tennessee, attended East High School in Memphis, Tennessee and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Randolph Macon College for Women, in Lynchburg, VA. Following graduation from college, she worked at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts and was a longtime employee of the Umbrella Arts Center in Concord, MA.  She enjoyed a multitude of friends. 

She is survived only by her brother, Louis Ruffin Pounders, his wife, Dorothy of Memphis; her niece, Elizabeth Pounders Howorth of Oxford, MS; her nephew, Alan Bradley Pounders of Memphis; and three grandnieces.

The family requests any memorials be sent to the Umbrella Arts Center in her honor.
