Elmer T. Williams, 3rd

Elmer T. Williams 3rd, also known to everyone as “Tom Williams”, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband of 63 years to Elizabeth E. Williams, also known to everyone as “Beth”.

Born in Swampscott, MA, on July 21, 1936, he was the son of the late Elmer T. Williams, Jr., and Marian (Hammond) Williams.

Raised and early educated in Lynn, MA, Elmer graduated from Lynn English High School with the class of 1954, then later from the Ward School of Business and Machine Accounting.

In 1955, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1958 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. On July 15, 1961, Elmer (Tom) married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Beth), and soon began their journey together, raising their five children.

Elmer had a long and distinguished career working for Raytheon Corporation for 38 years.

Along with his wife, he is survived by five children: David Williams (Theresa), Janet Sealby (Randall), Robert Williams (Lynn), Richard Williams, and John Williams. He also has 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Rachel, Ali, Reid, Jack, Thomas, Ross, Katie, Kevin, Bonnie, and Bruce, and three great-grandchildren, Luca, Calvin, and Dylan.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Elmer during a period of visitation on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap Street, Concord, MA. Burial at Green Cemetery, Carlisle, will be private.

Concord's Town Flag will fly at half-staff on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in honor of Elmer's faithful service in the United States Army.
