Eugene F. Scalzo

Eugene F. Scalzo, age 100, of Stow, MA, and Vero Beach, FL. passed away on April 11, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Flavia Marullo Scalzo. Loving father of Marguerite Wengler and her husband, James of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Acton and Carolyn Rooney of West Roxbury. Devoted grandfather of the late Jim Scalzo, Dale Wengler, Lauren Ferris, Dana Rooney, and Christopher Rooney. Cherished great grandfather of James R., Jacob, Emma, Christian, and Camden Wengler, and Luke Rooney.

Gene was a proud World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. After retiring from the NYC Transit Authority, he volunteered for the COA of Stow, winning the Presidential Award for Excellent Service.

Family and Friends are invited to gather at the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord, MA on Saturday, April 21st at 9:45 a.m. before leaving in procession to St. Isidore Church, 429 Great Rd/Rt 117, Stow, for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Stow.
