Everett Holt Frost

August 18, 1930 — January 17, 2017

Everett Holt Frost (Ev, Dad, Papa)
Ev passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his wife of 62 years, Diane and daughters Pam, Nancy, Karen, Barbara, and Linda in spirit, on January 17th, 2017 at the age of 86 after bravely fighting Parkinson's Disease.
Ev was born in Port Washington, NY and raised on Long Island by his parents Everett and Rosa (Smith). He was a loving and protective big brother to Betsy. During his growing up years, he attended the Little Neck Community Church, attending Sunday School, youth group and being confirmed in the church with a large group of friends in 1945. It just so happened there was a redheaded 15 year old girl named Diane that had her eye on him and so - the romance began and didn't end - 70 years of being in love.
Ev's grandparents were always at the center of his life growing up. He learned gardening, boating and fishing and developed a love and respect for the sea and a passion for caring for his homes.
Ev graduated from St. Lawrence University in Upstate New York . He served in the Army in Korea as an MP and was honorably discharged with a Bronze Star. He returned home to marry his childhood sweetheart Diane Dallon. From 1951 until his retirement in 1995 Ev was with GTE Sylvania-Philips ECG. He began his career marketing Television Tubes and retired as National Sales & Marketing Manager, During those 41 years, Di and Ev raised and relocated their girls between N.Y, Conn.,GA, and Mass., achieving his goal of providing for his family and teaching them strong integrity and values. Throughout his life he enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling, photography, reading the newspaper and spending time with his wife and family.
His loving family included Pam Smith (David) of Harwich, MA, their children Jeffrey and Chad, Linda McGlynn "in spirit" (Francis) their children Shawn and Brent, Nancy Frost of Fort Myers, FL, her children Monica and Bradley, Karen Anderson (David) of Littleton, MA, their children Sophie and Hayley, and Barbara Assarian of Arlington, MA and her children Taylor and Jake. Ev had a large wonderful family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
An extraordinary team of caregivers made it possible for Ev to live at home - his favorite place to be! They have been devoted, loving, and caring for many years and all adored Ev.
