Faith W. Storer

Faith W. (Vanderhoof) Storer age 94 of Stow formerly of Waltham passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Genesis Westford House in Westford. She was the wife of the late Warren E. Storer.

Born in Concord on July 17, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Whitney) Vanderhoof.

Raised and educated in Concord, Mrs. Storer graduated from Concord High School. She soon married and moved to Waltham.

A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Storer was known for her loving, caring and generous way. She enjoyed many interesting hobbies including reading, tennis, crossword puzzles and cards. She loved to travel and visited her favorite destination - Hawaii, four times. She also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, York Beach, Maine as well as numerous family vacations.

Mrs. Storer always worked as a waitress in several local Waltham and Newton establishments and retired at the age of 82 after 23 consecutive years at Cabots Restaurant in Newton.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra L. Nowicki of Clinton, her grandsons, Karl Evans of Worcester, Kirk Evans of New Hartford, NY and Ken Evans of Worcester, a sister Helen Bouley of Littleton and four great-grandchildren, Liam, Tess, Shanleigh and Meredith Evans. She was also the mother of the late Warren Scott Storer.
