Frances (Chiabrandy) Neville age 78 of Concord passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Brigham Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport. She was the wife of the late John A. Neville who died in January.
Born in Winthrop on April 21, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Frances (Hulse) Chiabrandy.
Raised and educated in Saugus, she graduated from Saugus High School in 1953 and later attended and graduated from Simmons College in 1957.
She soon married and settled in Concord in 1958. A long time member of the Trinitarian Congregational Church, Mrs. Neville was active in several committees and church functions. Her faith and support of the church was an integral part of her life.
During her retirement and spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and teaching/practicing Tai Chi. Frances was a volunteer for the Concord Council on Aging and a member of Concord's Mill Brook Task Force. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed mystery novels. Many in Concord remember Frances' daily bicycle rides through town.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Frances J. Neville of Newburyport and Mary C. Neville of Hull. She was also the sister Robert E. Chiabrandy of Burlington, Vermont. Frances had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor.
