Hilda C. Hammill

Hilda C. Hammill, age 97 of Concord (formerly of Easton, CT), passed away at home on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.�She was the wife of the late Marinus Willett Hammill.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 16, 1910, she was the youngest of five, the daughter of Vincent and Carmela (Meola) DeStephen. Her family moved frequently across the country from Chicago to Canton, Ohio to Seattle, WA, and to New York, where she met her husband. They raised their family in New Rochelle, NY, and later retired to Easton CT.

When her husband passed away in 1992, she moved to Concord to be near her daughters.

She is survived by her children, Margaret Hammill of Concord, Christina Paul of Bedford, and Willett Hammill and his wife, Sharon, of Reading, CT. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Laurette Hammill and Emily Pawlikowski, and a great-granddaughter Mae Pawlikowski.
