Irene L. (Martell) Robertson

March 2, 1922 — August 16, 2013

Irene L. (Martell) Robertson age 91 of Acton formerly of Concord and Somerville passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2013 at her daughter's residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur T. Robertson.

Born in Somerville on March 2, 1922 she was the daughter of the late James C. and Carrie S. (Camel) Martell.

Irene graduated from Somerville High School and soon married. They settled in Concord where together they raised their loving and devoted children. A proud wife and mother, she was always involved in many of their school and extra curricular activities. She was also a member of the Trinitarian Congregational Church.

Irene also owned and operated the West Concord Gift Shop in the late 60's. Due to an illness she had to close the shop and continued to focus her life around her family, as well as reading mystery novels.

She is survived by her children Judith Parker, Arthur Robertson both of Acton, Matthew Robertson and wife Janet of Poulsbo, WA and the late Steven Robertson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kristen Garofalo and Kipp Robertson and her great-grandchildren John and Stephanie Garofalo. She was also the sister of Edna Hebb of Ayer and Harry Martell of NC.
