Jean Watt

November 15, 1911 — February 13, 2008

Jean (Bickford) Watt, age 96 of Concord, formerly of Arlington and Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Life Care of Nashoba Valley�in Littleton.�She was the wife of the late Everett Phillips Watt.

Born in Conway, New Hampshire on November 15, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Sarah (Chamberlain) Bickford.

Mrs. Watt was graduated from Lynn English High School, class of 1929, and Salem Normal School, class of 1932. She was a kindergarten teacher in Arlington for 29 years.

The Parmenter School presented a plaque to Jean at retirement that describes her lifelong passion: To Guide with Gentleness, To Lead with Strength, To Teach with Love.

Mrs. Watt was an enthusiastic family booster, traveler, cook, gardener, oil painter, and loved nature.�She was a member of the West Concord Women's Club, P.E.O. and West Concord Union Church.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara Hilton and her husband Frederick of Acton and Marjorie Wark of Nashua, New Hampshire. She was the devoted grandmother of seven: Deborah Harrington and her husband Robbie of Lilesville, North Carolina, David Gott of Maynard, Robin Kanniard and her husband Roger of Littleton, Stephanie Zirnkilton and her husband Stephen of Seal Harbor, Maine, Jeffrey Maahs his wife Linda and her son Robert Vorse of Leominster, Thomas Maahs of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Peter Maahs and his companion April Graves of Conway, New Hampshire. Great-grandmother of twelve; Brent Harrington, Natalie Gott Urato, Laura, Steven, Stacie, and Michael Kanniard, Sarah and Stephen Zirnkilton, and Melanie,�Thomas, Marlena, and Marisa Maahs, and one great-great-grandson, Adam Urato.�She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and friends.�She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
