It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely death of our beloved husband, father, and son, Jesse Cabarrus. Jesse passed away at home on February 26th due a sudden, acute heart event. We take some small comfort in knowing that Jesse did not suffer and is now embraced in the arms of God above.
Truly, there are no words that can adequately summarize the life of Jesse, and the love, joy, humor, intelligence, thoughtfulness, and compassion that he embodied and gifted to all that were lucky enough to be in his presence. Jesse truly lit up a room. He was kind to all and had the talent to make anyone feel at ease and welcome in any situation. His fierce devotion and loyalty to his family and friends was deep and unwavering. Jesse’s proudest accomplishment was his beautiful family. His love for Meredith, Julian and Sebastian was beyond any imaginable love and still now reaches down from heights of heaven. Jesse was special, and we are all better people to have had him in our lives, even if for too short a time.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Meredith (Lutz) and their two boys, Julian (age 14) and Jakes Sebastian (age 11) Cabarrus, his mother and father, Patricia Ellen (Donovan) and Jose M. Cabarrus, and his much-loved extended family.
Services for Jesse were private.
Donations may be made in Jesse’s name and memory to the NVC Foundation, a charitable organization that supports children and their underprivileged families throughout the Philippines (through either link provided below).
