John Hartley Mulhall Jr., Age 71, of Concord Massachusetts, died July 23, 2018.Born on December 5, 1946 in Quincy Massachusetts to Anna Elizabeth Mulhall and JohnHartley Mulhall Sr. John grew up on Central Street in West Concord where he and his sister, thelate Jane Cutler, attended Concord public schools.In between his business studies at Northeastern University and New England College, John'sdraft number came up and he chose to join the United States Navy. He attended Naval BootCamp and was chosen for the honor to serve in the commissioning crew of the aircraft carrierU.S.S. John F. Kennedy.On June 25th, 1977 John married Lilian Estelle Mutty of Sudbury Rd. Lee and John met asyoung employees at the Country Store of Concord. Over the past 41 years, they enjoyed manythings together; especially sailing their boat the Golden Lady, skiing, camping, and boatwatching in Gloucester. Lee and John raised two daughters Elizabeth and Annalee in Concordand passed along their love of family, reading, and being on the water.A kind and gentle person without fanfare or agenda, John had a great sense of humor, loved theRed Sox, books, the mountains, and above all, Lee, Elizabeth, and Annalee.A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 27th at the clubhouse at Concord Greene, 1024Main Street, Concord, MA.
