Margaret Bishop Hansen

Margaret (Bishop), Hansen, 95 of West Concord died Friday, July 1, 2011 in the Concord Health Care Center.

She was born September 15, 1915 in Maynard to George and Mabel (Wagner) Bishop. Margaret grew up in Maynard, was educated there and graduated from Maynard High School in 1934. She then went on to attend Milford-Whitinsville Hospital Nursing School graduating with a Registered Nurse Degree. In 1944 she married Walter Hansen and settled in Concord.

She worked as an RN at Emerson Hospital until moving to specialized care nursing at Riversrest Nursing Home where she worked for many years. Margaret
continued her nursing career with private care nursing positions until her retirement in 1980. She and Walter regularly attended West Concord Union Church and she enjoyed an enduring membership in the West Concord Women's Club

Besides her husband, she leaves her son Paul Hansen of Marlborough and many friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2011 at 1:00pm in the West Concord Union Church, 1317 Main St., Concord. Interment private. Visiting hours Thursday, July 7 from 2 to 4 in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord.
