Maria Stephania Muscato

Maria Stephania Gatneh was born in Gorezea, Italy on July 5, 1925 a daughter to the late  Joseph and Stephania (Pearce) Gatneh.

Maria moved to the United States, married Peter and soon settled in Concord where they made their home for many years.  Along with being a devoted homemaker and mother, Maria worked for many years in food service for the town of Concord and Concord Academy.  She was also a faithful member of St. Bernard’s Church in Concord. During her spare time and retirement, she enjoyed singing Italian songs, cooking and baking as well as games such as ring toss and reminiscing activities. 

She is survived by a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and friends and neighbors. 

Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 am in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap Street, Concord. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Concord.

In lieu of flowers donations in Maria’s memory may be made to Care One, 57 ORNAC, Concord, MA 01742 or the Concord Council on Aging, 1276 Main Street, Concord, MA.
