Marjorie "Midge" Nagy Oxley Vosburgh

December 10, 1927 — May 8, 2015

Marjorie "Midge" (Nagy) Oxley Vosburgh, age 87, of Worcester (formerly of Concord) died at home, surrounded by her children on Friday, May 8, 2015.

Born in Buffalo, New York on December 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Julia (Tudja) Nagy. Raised and educated in Buffalo, she graduated from Bennett High School in 1945. She also received a diploma from the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School, and later got her GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute).

In 1950 Midge married Vincent Oxley, and over the years the family lived in Kenmore, then Clarence, N.Y., Newton Highlands, Medfield, and Wayland, MA and Old Saybrook, CT. Family was very important to her, and she adored her children. Her gentle, kind, loving heart and generous nature made her a wonderful mother and true friend. In the mid-1980s she moved to Concord, MA where she met, remarried, and spent many happy years with James C. Vosburgh.

Over the span of her career she worked as a realtor in Weston, Sudbury, Wayland, and Concord. She genuinely enjoyed helping people find the right home, and made lasting friendships with many of her clients.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and keeping in touch with friends and relatives far and wide. She was an avid bridge player. Active in the West Concord Women's Club, and the Concord Council on Aging, she also enjoyed attending church and Bible study. She loved going to Cape Cod, doing jigsaw puzzles, listening to audio books, and being spontaneous. She had incredible luck winning prizes in raffles.

Midge is survived by her children Randall C. Oxley and his wife Theresa of Belmont, Laura R. Oxley of Boylston, and Heather A. Gwinn of Wayland; sisters Alice Wilson of VA, Patricia Bussey of CA, and brother David Nagy and his wife Gretchen of VA. She is also survived by grandchildren Rebecca, Randall V., Katie, Matthew, Melissa, Michael, Timothy, and Julia; and great-grandchildren Logan, Jameson, and Autumn; stepdaughters Barbara and Jane, daughter in law Patricia, and her friend Ron Brodrick. She was predeceased by husbands Vincent and James, son Kimball V. Oxley, and sister Dorothy Holmes.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Midge on Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 AM in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord. Interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery will be private.
