Mary A. Barry

Mary A. (Collins) Barry age 94 of Wayland passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Marlboro Hills Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Richard F. Barry.

Born in Boston on July 30, 1914 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Angela (Clancy) Collins.

Raised and educated in Boston Mrs. Barry graduated from Girl’s Latin High School and later attended and graduated from the School of Practical Art. She was a resident of Wayland for 40 years.

She was an active and caring mother to her daughter and always enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Barry was an artist, dress designer, interior decorator, author and practiced astrology and was known for her wisdom and guidance.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Strauss of Marlborough, a granddaughter Anika Sonski and great-granddaughters Emma and Lauren Sonski all of CT.
