Mary Larner Ferguson

June 15, 1956 — December 15, 2025

Concord, Massachusetts

It is with profound sadness that we note the sudden passing of Mary Larner Ferguson, of Concord, MA, Nantucket, MA, and Gulf Stream, FL, on December 15, 2025. Born on June 15, 1956, Mary grew up in Concord, MA. She graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School and Pine Manor College. An accomplished figure skater with the Skating Club of Boston, she was also a USFSA Test Judge, and in more recent years was pursuing her passion for ice dance. In her professional life, Mary was a software engineer at Wang Laboratories.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Greg Ferguson; her cherished children, Sarah (Toby) and Tommy (Hannah); and her adored grandson, Harrison. She is also survived by her sister, Betsy Ciuffetti; her brother, John Larner; her sisters-in-law, Gerry Patkay and Judy Ferguson; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Ferguson, Jay Ferguson, and Pierre Patkay. She was predeceased by her brother, Charlie Larner, and her late husband, David Webb.

Salt of the earth and a treasured, adored friend to so many, Mary was defined by a deep devotion to her family and a bottomless well of selfless care and support. Her most cherished role was that of Harrison’s devoted Mimi. She was the glue that held everything and everyone together. A true jack-of-all-trades, she was a designer, contractor, electrician, IT expert, golf enthusiast, healthy chef, and seamstress extraordinaire - designing and creating beautiful clothing and wrapping friends and family in her cozy, homemade blankets. Mary created homes filled with warmth, beauty, and love.

A lifelong resident of her beloved Concord, she was a lover of nature whose favorite moments included skating on French's Meadow and long walks at Egg Rock and other Concord trails. She also relished all things Nantucket, from a swim off Coatue to quiet moonlit strolls, to late-afternoon golf followed by her favorite Sconset Sunset cocktail.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Mary on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM, in the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 54 Walden St., Concord. Burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery will be private.
