Mary Marland Rauscher

August 20, 1927 — December 4, 2023

Concord, Massachusetts

Mary Marland (Cobb) Rauscher, of Concord, MA, died on December 4th after a short illness. She lived a good life for 96 years. She was the widow of Joseph Rauscher. She was married to Robert C. Cobb Jr. until 1978. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Marland and Edith Hobbs, and her siblings, John, Ginevra, and Patricia. 

She grew up in Chestnut Hill and moved to Concord in 1948, where she raised her three daughters: Jane W. Cobb of Medfield, MA, Deborah M Carballiera of Indian Hills, CO, and Lindy Morgan of Dover, NH. She also leaves four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

She was a dedicated volunteer for many organizations: Emerson Hospital, Episcopal church altar guild in Concord and Kennebunkport, The Concord Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New England Watercolor Society, The Concord Art Association, River Tree Arts in Kennebunkport, and recently she became passionate about her volunteer service to Household Goods in Acton, MA.  For many years, she owned the Priscilla Hartley Gallery in Kennebunkport, ME. She was an inaugural member of the Seeds and Weeds Garden Club in Concord and was a wonderful gardener. She maintained a lovely garden at her home in Cape Porpoise, ME, where passersby would stop and enjoy. 

Services will be private.
