Mary J. Robbins

Mary J. Robbins passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 75 following complications resulting from a long struggle with Crohn’s disease.

Born on August 2, 1950, Mary was the loving daughter of Frederick J. Robbins and Emma (Hooton) Robbins of Concord. Mary grew up in Concord and graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in 1968. She attended Smith College and Colby College, majoring in sociology, followed by graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts in public health.

After her education, Mary returned to her family home in Concord, where she spent much of her adult life caring for her parents in their later years. Mary was a devoted daughter, and despite health problems of her own, focused her attention on her parents’ well-being until their passing. Mary felt blessed to be there for them and was very grateful to all the caregivers who came to the house daily, allowing her parents to remain in their home.

Mary had a generous heart and was always willing to help others where there was a need. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Mary leaves her brother, John Robbins, and his wife, Donna (Peterson) Robbins, and her niece, Virginia Robbins, and Virginia’s husband, Derek Olson, all residents of Concord.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap Street, Concord MA. Her burial will follow in the family plot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, MA.
