Michael J. Viglione, Sr.

Michael J. Viglione, age 63, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at his sister’s residence in Raymond, New Hampshire, following a brief illness.

Born in Bay Shore, New York, on March 11, 1963, he was the beloved son of the late Jack and Carol May (Shuflat) Viglione.

Mike was raised and educated in Billerica, Massachusetts, and graduated from Billerica High School. He later proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Upon returning home, Mike married and eventually settled in North Andover, where he built a life surrounded by family and friends.

Mike worked for many years as a roofer and independent contractor, taking great pride in his work and completing numerous projects throughout the local community.

A devoted New England sports fan and a Long Islander at heart, Mike had a special love for hockey, especially the New York Rangers. He never missed a game and especially enjoyed sharing those moments with family and friends. He was also an avid fisherman who enjoyed many trips outdoors, always eager to see what Mother Nature had to offer.

Above all, Mike was a devoted father. He was the “greatest sports dad,” making sure he was there for every game, no matter what. His greatest joy was his family, and the memories he created with those he loved will be treasured forever.

Mike is survived by his son, Michael J. Viglione Jr.; his daughter, Courtney Paige Viglione; his beloved grandchildren, Lilyannah, Sophee, and Greyson; and many close friends and loved ones.

Services for Mike will be announced at a later date.
