Morwen Two Feathers, Born Paula Jean Swilling, died Tuesday, July 10. Diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor, Morwen lived a full and beautiful life for many years beyond expectation.
Born in Hartford, CT to now deceased parents Estelle and Gerald Swilling, she was a graduate of Loomis-Chaffee School, Trinity College and received her Master's in Women's Studies from Boston University. Morwen settled in Concord, Massachusetts where she lived and was a vibrant part of the community for more than 30 years.
Morwen worked as executive director for several non-profits over the course of her career and had many interests and passions. She was a long time, deeply valued member of the EarthSpirit Community where she met her beloved husband Jimi Two Feathers. She was a drummer and a dancer, a published writer, teacher, and accomplished artist. She created a rich and vibrant community wherever she was.
She is survived by her husband Jimi Two Feathers, her son Kane Two Feathers, her stepson Daren Two Feathers, sister Penny Field, brother David Swilling and many, many beloveds far and wide.
On Wednesday, July 25 , a small private gathering will be followed by a 10:30 am service at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery at the Knoll (5th gate) entrance.
A celebration of her life will be held on October 20, details to be announced.
