Muriel G. Hervey

Muriel G Hervey passed away peacefully on January 31, 2010 following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the adopted daughter of the late Lawrence and Olive (Carye) Hervey.

A life-long Concord resident. Muriel attended Concord Academy, graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School, Northeastern University and Suffolk Law School.

Most recently Muriel worked in the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, Division of Consumer Complaints. In the 1960's as a young computer programmer she worked with IBM machines, later she worked with Analytical Systems Engineering Corp., Bolt Beranek and Newman, and Visidine.

Muriel was active in theatrical groups; helping produce performances by the Concord Players and the Savoyard Light Opera Company; where she is remembered for her feather boas and good cheer. She enjoyed crafts, making her famous “mile-high” apple pies for many to enjoy. She was also a volunteer for the Concord Council on Aging.

Her friends wish to extend their thanks to the staffs of the Concord Seniors Center, The Life Care Center of Acton and special thanks to the Parmenter Hospice team and Ms Maria Kalinoski for all their compassionate care and kindness to Muriel.
