Nan B. Harbison, aged 63, passed away on October 14, 2014 in her home after a brave eight month battle with cancer.
Born in Abington, PA on April 30, 1951 to Ruth and the late Thomas B. Harbison, Nan attended Pine Manor College and Wellesley College in the Boston area and moved to Concord in the late 1970's. She has since been involved in the community of Concord in many ways. She tutored hundreds of kids in math and SAT prep from CCHS, Concord Academy and Middlesex before going back to school to get her MBA and starting her own website development business. Many of her clients were Concord based, such as the Concord school district and Concord Funeral Home. She has also been active with the Concord Community Chest, Chamber of Commerce, Concord Country Club, Heritage Pool and Racquet Club and the CCHS Swim and Dive Team.
In addition to her mother, Nan is survived by her husband, Bob Connor, her daughters Elizabeth MacSwan of Waltham, Margaret MacSwan of South Boston and Meredith MacSwan Harjes and her husband Dan Harjes of Acton. She was a devoted grandmother to Caiden and Reese Harjes and loving sister to Catherine Parker and Ellen Harbison of Seattle, WA, Laura Keery of Weston and Dana Harbison of Lower Gwynedd, PA. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
