Nicholas Shneider Fairweather

November 6, 1998 — April 27, 2020

Nick Fairweather passed away at the age of 21 on April 27, 2020 in Newton, MA, where he had just started residing at the end of March, 2020. Nick was born November 6, 1998 in Cambridge, MA, and adopted at the age of 7 months by Celia Shneider and Mark Fairweather.

He grew up in Lincoln, MA and attended Lincoln Public Schools through the 8th grade, where he was a gifted athlete in basketball and baseball. His Middle School basketball team was undefeated, and he was an ace pitcher and hitter on the baseball diamond. Nick attended Dearborn Academy in Arlington, where he excelled at metal work. Nick was very social, and had many close friends who considered him family. One of his favorite activities was attending Summer Music Fests with his friends. He was a talented videogame player and prided himself on his ability. Nick had a charismatic, playful loving presence, and movie star good looks. He loved music, including the Grateful Dead, and Contemporary Rap. When we asked him to turn down his loud music, he would accuse us of "cranking classical music."

Nick worked as a mover, snow remover, warehouse worker, and sales associate, which he especially enjoyed. He learned to paint houses with Mark, and was a hard worker.

Nick is survived by his parents, Mark Fairweather and Celia Shneider, his Grandmother Sharon Alfeiri, brothers Marco Alfeiri (Michelle Galvin) and Joey Flynn, and his companion Lily Farneny. He is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles, Claire and Elliot Asarnow, Debby and Stephen Smith, Joshua Shneider and Rosemary Moore, Mary and Don Dexter, and Barbara Byer. He leaves his cousins Rachel and Jenny Asarnow (Chris Icasiano), Zachary (Andrea Dushanek) and Jesse Smith, Faye and Violet Shneider, and Mady Olson (Adam Olson), and Nephews Aiden, Quinn, and Tristan Alfeiri. He is predeceased by his Birth Mother, Laura Flynn, Grandparents Beatrice and Harold Shneider, and Margaret and Harold Fairweather, and Uncle Russell Byer.

Nick will always be in our hearts.
