Paul J. Diguette, 77, of Acton, formerly of Clinton, died on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at Emerson Hospital in Concord.
Paul leaves his loving wife of 35 years, Susan E. (Sweny) Diguette and his two sons, Christopher J. Diguette of Clinton and Jeffrey C. Diguette of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by his two sisters, Jean Jacubowicz and her husband Ronald, and Mary Sawyer, both of Clinton along with his many nieces and nephews.
Paul was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph and Rita (Ford) Diguette. He was raised in Clinton where he attended local schools and was a 1957 graduate of Clinton H.S. He later received his Bachelor's Degree from Holy Cross College in Worcester. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Paul had a long career in marketing, sales, and consulting, retiring as CEO of his own service quality consulting firm.
Paul cherished his circle of friends in the Acton community and enjoyed his daily routine of socializing with them. He was an avid sports fan, with a passion for horse racing. He looked forward to attending the yearly meet at Saratoga Raceway in New York, and specifically the Travers Stakes. Spending time with family was his favorite past time and his talent for cooking was never overlooked by his family or friends. Imparter of great wisdom, incredibly well read, and able to speak intelligently on any subject. He leaves a legacy of love, kindness, a spirit of giving and unique humor to be remembered and cherished for all who loved and knew him.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Paul on Friday, May 12 from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord, MA. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, 89 Arlington St., Acton. Burial with military honors will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Acton
