Pedro Patricio Da Costa, age 54 and long-time resident of Acton, passed away at his home on Wednesday July 22, 2020.
Born in Minas Gerais, Brazil on May 26, 1966, Pedro was the son of the late Miguel and Maria (DeJesus) Da Costa. Raised and educated in Brazil, Pedro was one of 15 children. He attended Colégio Assedipa graduated in 1990, and went on to move to the U.S. in 2003, where he settled in Acton. Pedro was a man of very few words, but processed an abundance of wisdom. Pedro had a heart of gold, he was slow to anger, and quick to forgive. He was devoted to his family and stayed in close contact with his siblings and relatives in Brazil.
Pedro was very hardworking and his appreciation for quality showed in his work and his daily life. He loved working, farming, and treasured nice things. Pedro worked as a nurse technician in Brazil, but most recently, he worked for many years as a chef at the Colonial Inn in Concord. A talented chef, Pedro loved cooking both professionally and for pleasure. He enjoyed reading, collecting knives, fishing, visiting his relatives,and attending barbecues. Pedro will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who had the joy of knowing him.
Pedro is survived by his siblings: Joaquim Da Costa and his wife Dorides of Brazil, Miguel Filho of Brazil, Nicamor Da Costa of Brazil, João Da Costa and his wife Maura of Brazil, Luis Da Costa of Brazil, Izael Da Costa and his wife Deuzenila of Brazil, Marilene Silva of Framingham MA, Mizael Da Costa of Lowell, MA and his wife Docarmo, Mariana Maia of Brazil and Guilherme Da Costa and his wife Zila Lopes of Brazil. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Pedro is predeceased by Maria Da Costa, Ana Da Costa, Jose Da Costa and Daniel Da Costa.
Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Pedro for a period of visitation on Friday July 31, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap Street, Concord MA. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial at Mount Hope cemetery, Acton.
