Ralph A. "Jeff" Gerow Jr. died on April 26, 2012 in Acton. He was born on February 17, 1924 to Ralph A. Gerow and Ethlyn Wilson Gerow and was a life-long resident of Concord. He was the beloved husband of Ruth M. Gerow for 60 years.
He played the trumpet in the Concord High School orchestra after which he entered the Army in 1943 during World War II and played in a band. He worked for GenRad in Concord for over 21 years.
His proud memberships in Masonic organizations included: Corinthian Lodge (65 year member), Houghton Walden Royal Arch Chapter serving as High Priest and District Deputy, Adoniram Council of Royal and Select Master Masons, Trinity-Natick Commandry No. 32, Knights Templar, Aleppo Shriners, Concord Assembly No. 53, International Order of Rainbow for Girls serving as Dad Advisor, and the American Legion. He played in the Aleppo Shriners Brass Band in Wilmington for 20 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Nancy G. Sumski and her husband, Lawrence P. Sumski, grandson Nicholas G. Sumski and granddaughter, Alison F. Sumski of Amherst, New Hampshire. He is also survived by sisters, Patricia Bergstrom of Merrimack, N.H., and Beverly Macdonell of Carlisle, MA. He truly loved music and spending time with his family and his beloved grandchildren.
