Richard William Kazmaier

November 23, 1930 — August 1, 2013

Richard William Kazmaier Jr., 82, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Thursday August 1, 2013. Born in Toledo and raised in Maumee, Ohio, Richard, commonly known as Dick, was the beloved husband of Patricia Jean Hoffmann Kazmaier, his wife of recently celebrated forty years. He was the proud and loving father of Michele S. Kazmaier of Pepperell MA., Kimberly A. Picard of Sedona AZ., Susan M. Kazmaier of Concord MA., Kathy L. Donnelly of Eden UT., Kristen L. Kazmaier – Fisher of Concord MA., and late Patricia Jean Sandt. He was the cherished grandfather of Jessica Marie Heavener, Natalie Eakin Watt, Tenley Elizabeth Eakin, Victoria Ellis Eakin, Serena Sandt Veazey, Percy Cole Fisher, Curtis Beckett Kazmaier and Sophie Patricia Fisher. He was also the dear great-grandfather of Evelyn Grace Love Watt, Carter Stuart Kazmaier Watt and Holden James Craig Watt.

Dick grew up in Perrysburg, Ohio where he attended Union Elementary School and Maumee High school before attending Princeton University. Dick then declined the opportunity of being drafted by the Chicago Bears and pursued a masters' in Business at Harvard Graduate School. Once he completed his MBA he joined the US Naval Reserve from 1954 to 1963. From then on he had an extensive employment history with businesses including the American Machine & Foundry Company and the Kendall Company before creating Kazmaier Associates.

Dick was raised in Perrysburg, Ohio and moved to Malvern, Pennsylvania for four years before moving to Wyckoff, New Jersey for eight years before settling in Concord, Massachusetts where they continued to raise their six children until 1985 when they set a permanent residence at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida.

Memorial Service, Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. Anne's in-the-Fields Church, 147 Concord Rd., (Rte 126) Lincoln, MA

Other memorials will be held in Perrysburg, OH., Princeton NJ., and Key Largo, FL., at dates later in the year, yet to be decided.
