Robert Wiley Baldridge

Robert Wiley Baldridge, Bob, 82, of Concord, passed away on July 17, 2017. He was the husband of the late Joan (Thornton) Baldridge.
Bob was born and raised in Providence, RI, son of the late Dr. Robert Baldridge and Margaret (Wiley) Baldridge. He was a graduate of Providence Country Day School in 1952, Wesleyan University in 1956, and Harvard Business School in 1958. He had a long career in management and financial consulting.

Bob married his high school sweetheart in 1956 and they resided in Cambridge, MA, Brooklyn NY, and Westport, CT before settling in Concord, MA with their three children in 1970. He was an avid outdoorsman and athlete, who had a passion for hiking and camping, tennis and squash, and especially fishing in Maine and kayaking in Westport, MA. His dog, at some's dismay, was always by his side!

As a member of the Boston Saengerfest Men's Chorus, Bob performed twice at Royal Albert Hall in London. Some of his other thrills were bungie jumping in New Zealand, and scuba diving in the Caribbean. He was an active member of his community, volunteering with Care Dimensions, Meals on Wheels, Open Table, the Concord prison, and a sponsor with The Sharing Foundation.

Bob leaves behind his son Reed Baldridge, his daughter Lynn Baldridge and her husband James Saeger of Arlington, MA, his daughter Amanda McDonough and her husband Tim of Bedford, NH, his sister Mary (Baldridge) Remensnyder of Exeter, NH, two nephews and five nieces. He was the beloved grandfather (Bobba) of Susanne Saeger, and Sam, Ian and Ben McDonough.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bob on Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 54 Walden St, Concord. Interment will be private.
