Robin Wendy McQueen

Robin Wendy McQueen, aged 73, of Beverly, MA, passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, July 24th in Lincoln, MA, following a prolonged illness. 

Robin was born in Evanston, IL on March 24th 1953 to parents Richard Linster and Rosemary Linster (neé Drace). She was the youngest of five children. Among her siblings are late sister Carol Stone, and late brothers Rick, Craig and Charles “Chick” Linster. She attended New Trier West High School, graduating in 1971. She later attended Santa Barbara Business College. 

Robin worked as a medical clerk in Santa Barbara until moving to Beverly Massachusetts in 1991. She continued secretarial work for many years at organizations like Beverly Hospital and Mass General Hospital, before finding her true calling in life, massage therapy and the holistic arts. She became Reiki certified and then graduated from massage school in 2002. She practiced massage therapy in the greater Boston area for the better part of 20 years, gaining a reputation as a skilled healer. 

Robin will be remembered for her fervor for life and for her laugh which became the backbone of every party or evening out. Her company was infectious, and she could become instant friends with any stranger. Close friends of Robin will remember her generosity, and her relentlessly positive outlook on life. 

Robin is survived by her husband Mark McQueen and son Michael McQueen, of Beverly, and by her granddaughter Madelyn McQueen, 12, of Rochester, MA. She also had many nieces, nephews and other extended family, and countless friends and colleagues from all walks of life. 

A Celebration of Life for Robin will be held at the McQueen residence at a date to be determined.
