Stephen Richard Walker

Stephen Richard Walker, "Steve". Age 68 of Concord died on Thursday April 12th.

Steve ​was born on October 25,1949 at Richardson House in Boston. His late parents were George and Hazel Walker; he is survived by his brother George (Ted) Walker, Jr. Steve was a high school graduate with post high school technical training. Steve served in the Air Force Reserve achieving the rank of Sergeant. He most enjoyed working as a carpenter.

Steve enjoyed being in the outdoors; camping, fishing, boating, cycling, gardening and repairing and restoring WWII vehicles with friends. He also volunteered time to the Collings Foundation helping restore an Army Air Force B24 bomber. While growing up Steve was active in Boy Scouts achieving its highest rank, Eagle Scout. He was raised in West Concord, lived in New Hampshire as an adult and returned to live in Concord.

Steve is survived by his son Jeremy Walker and his wife Veronika, their sons Kilian and Liam, his brother Ted and his wife Elaine, their daughter Sarah and husband Daniel Strzelec, and their children Samuel and Charlotte; son Alexander Walker and his children Madison and Olivia.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Steve on Wednesday April 18 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord. His funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon. Interment Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
