Tai-sheng Pan, 73, of Concord, Massachusetts, passed away on January 24, 2025. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, who was his devoted partner in life.

Tai-sheng moved to Massachusetts in 1975 and was a structural engineer as well as a passionate Tai Chi teacher. Over the years, he shared his knowledge of Tai Chi with many students, and his calm, patient approach left a lasting impression on many he taught. His students often spoke of how his guidance not only improved their practice but also brought a sense of peace and balance to their lives.

A devoted basketball enthusiast, Tai-sheng found great joy in the game from a very young age, played on the high school team, and looked forward to playing every week throughout his life. He was also well-known as a passionate Boston Celtics fan, a loyalty that endured for many decades. He was always eager to watch games and share his enthusiasm for the sport with family and friends.

Tai-sheng was a steady and caring presence in the lives of those closest to him. He was deeply loved and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Tai-sheng is survived by his son Noah and daughter-in-law Saghi, and his granddaughter Darya; the children of his late brother Meng-Bo including Chiao-Ling (husband Yin and daughters Stephanie and Nicole), Mei-Ling (husband Cheekiang and son Brian), and Chia-te (wife Jocelyn and daughter Emma); his sister Tai-Li and her husband Wen-Mong, and their children Todd (wife Judy and daughters Charlotte and Alexandra) and Jessica (husband Roger and sons Theodore and Andrew); his brother Tai-Chun and his wife Tung-Mei, and their son Jason (wife Ritu and daughter Maya).

He was also preceded in death by his parents. 

Funeral service followed by burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord, will be private.
