William Merton Nickerson

William Merton Nickerson age 88 of Concord, MA and Parsonsfield, ME passed away Apr. 21, 2017. Survived by his wife Norma (Parker) Nickerson, his son Richard Scott Nickerson and his wife Barbara of Bethel VT, his daughters Marcia Sadlow and her husband Chester of Concord, MA, Nancy Nickerson and Lisa Janus of Gastonia, NC . Stepchildren Doug, Russell and Timothy Burns and wife Landis. Grandfather of Erica "Sadlow" Operach, Jason and Scott Nickerson. Great Grandfather of Nathan and Julia Operach, Amara Calhum-Flowers, Isadora and Nolan Nickerson. Also survived by his sister Jean Landry of Orange, MA. He was predeceased by his son in-law Jim Janus.

William proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Marines. He worked for many years with Sheet Metal Workers Local 17, he played football while at Concord High School and loved both college and New England Patriots football. Bill enjoyed traveling, water skiing, hunting and fishing and time spent with his family.

A Celebration of Bill's life will be Saturday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord. Burial private
